Rini Roy is a member of Greensfelder’s litigation group, representing clients in toxic tort, product liability and intellectual property cases. She has a broad range of litigation and trial experience in defending corporations from multi-party asbestos-related personal injury and wrongful death suits, as well as mass torts alleging occupational exposure to benzene and diacetyl.
Rini has served on a team as National Coordinating Counsel and as lead counsel for prominent manufacturing clients where she was responsible for all aspects of case management, including motion practice, deposition coverage, coordinating and managing litigation strategy discovery, experts, court hearings, and trial preparation. Outside the products liability area, Rini’s practice has also included the defense of serious personal injury cases arising from trucking accidents and transportation losses, and trademark prosecution and enforcement for individuals and small businesses before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Rini offers realistic evaluations, advising the optimal method of achieving the goals of the individuals and companies she represents, whether through trial or resolution. Her responsiveness and dedication ensure clients can focus on running their businesses while she works to represent their best interests.
Before joining Greensfelder, Rini was an associate at the Chicago office of a defense firm specializing in toxic tort and products liability litigation. In law school, she worked as a USPTO-certified student-practitioner and administrator at the John Marshall Law School Trademark Clinic.
