Profile

With a long and diverse career in employment law, Mary Beth Ortbals has represented employers in matters before federal and state courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.

She advises employers on human resource issues and develops and drafts employment policies, particularly for religious and health care organizations. Additionally, Mary Beth has substantial experience helping employers develop union avoidance strategies in union organizing campaigns.

Mary Beth’s career has included teaching torts and legal research and writing at Saint Louis University School of Law. She was associate director of development at Maryville University and served as an administrative judge for the EEOC.
