Profile

Settling an estate is a lengthy process, and Laura Staley’s experience in estate and trust administration provides the guidance clients need to work toward a conclusion. She assists with probate court matters and hearings, preparation of estate tax returns, individual and fiduciary income tax returns and the transfer of assets to estate and trust beneficiaries. A significant part of her practice involves the consideration of post-mortem tax implications.

Laura has spent her legal career of 30-plus years working in trusts and estates law — beginning even before law school as a paralegal — and during that time has followed significant changes in the law. With the changing nature of estate planning based on high exemption, Laura keeps up with the implications of those changes on behalf of her clients.
