Karen Whittenburg supports the Intellectual Property practice group as a paralegal. Karen has nearly 30 years of experience in intellectual property law and focuses on patent prosecution and trademarks. She has a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in the intellectual property process in the United States and internationally, as well as legal administration. Karen has experience with patent and trademark prosecution, application research and preparation, trademark infringement, copyright law and trade secrets, risk analysis and mitigation policy development, and global IP survey strategies.

Before joining Greensfelder, Karen was most recently an intellectual property specialist at another St. Louis area firm. Previously, she also served as paralegal for several Colorado-based law firms and owned her own business specializing in IP prosecution services. Karen also has experience at a biofuel start-up company as well as a $1 billion-per-annum corporation.
