Nathan Quaglia Joins Greensfelder as Environmental Litigation Officer
Nathan advises on products liability, toxic tort and environmental law with a focus on asbestos litigation. He has extensive experience representing manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, premise owners, contractors, and businesses to defend claims alleging asbestos exposure in federal and state litigation. He provides management of clients’ defense in mass toxic tort litigation from initial case evaluation to trial, including all aspects of discovery, dispositive motions, and mediation.
Additionally, Nathan counsels on regulatory compliance aspects of various environmental matters and transactions including mergers and acquisitions, Superfund litigation defense, contaminated property disputes, defense of state agency enforcement, and chemical regulatory reporting.
Nathan has deep industry knowledge in environmental law with experience at the Environmental Enforcement Division for the Illinois Attorney General’s office, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5, a private environmental risk management consulting company, and as an adjunct professor at DePaul University teaching Environmental Law and Policy. He has also served as chair and co-chair for environmental practice groups at several national law firms.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and his B.S. in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College.
