Kathy Butler nominated to serve on Meritas Board of Directors

April 15, 2022

Greensfelder Officer Kathy Butler has been nominated to join the Board of Directors for Meritas Law Firms Worldwide, a global alliance of business law firms that serves the legal needs of clients across different markets.

Butler is among a group of seven international attorneys nominated for the 2022-25 board term. Meritas member firms will vote to finalize the board slate in May at their annual meeting in London.

Butler leads Greensfelder’s health care practice group. She advises hospitals, health systems, physician practices and other health care providers across the health care spectrum.

In addition to serving as one of the firm's designated liaisons to Meritas, Butler has been involved with many Meritas committees and groups. She has been chair of the U.S. Leadership Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of the Board, and more recently joined the Meritas Women’s Leadership Congress’ Leadership Council. As a board member, Butler will participate in strategic planning, finance, development, member recruitment and retention, and the administration of Meritas’ rigorous quality standards, which set the network apart from other legal organizations.

Greensfelder is a longtime member of Meritas and is the exclusive Meritas law firm in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The firm’s membership offers clients access to the experience and legal knowledge of nearly 200 business law firms in 90 countries worldwide.
