January 3, 2023

Greensfelder is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 Firm Values Awards. These awards recognize employees who exemplify the firm’s six core values: Quality, People-Focused, Ownership, Equity, Collaboration and Determination.

Since the firm’s founding in 1895, Greensfelder’s core values have been guiding employees and have helped shape our firm culture, guide our client service and fuel our growth. The firm’s core values also are the basis for the environment others can expect to experience when working at Greensfelder.

The following recipients were selected for their valuable contributions to the firm.

The Quality Award is presented to Brandi Schroeder, legal administrative assistant. Multiple nominators noted Brandi’s dependability and her willingness to help others. They praised her readiness to take on additional assignments without complaint and said that she takes great pride and ownership in her work.

The People-Focused Award is presented to Alison Craghead, events coordinator. Alison was kept on her toes this year as in-person events roared back to life. Her ability to execute events that are sophisticated and have unique touches is appreciated, as well as her creativity and willingness to try new ideas. She was noted as a team player who is quick to credit others for their collaboration.

The Ownership Award is presented to Christina Stemple, legal administrative assistant. Christina was described by her nominators as unflappable and the ideal team player. She is seen as a go-to person in the Chicago office who is always kind, professional and willing to help. “She is the first person I turn to for assistance,” one nominator wrote.

The Equity Award is presented to Kara Cenar, an officer in the Intellectual Property practice group. Kara has a proven passion for connecting women with opportunities for career growth, education and networking in ways that will boost their careers and relationships. She also devotes significant time to mentoring others, sharing her best practices with newer attorneys.

The Collaboration Award is presented to Sean Eklund, software/hardware administrator. Sean’s work as a member of the IT team involves an array of problem-solving challenges. Nominators described him as someone who goes above and beyond, always knowledgeable and responsive. As one wrote, “Sean calmly and quickly helps determine the issue and helps get everyone back on track. He makes his demanding job look easy.”

The Determination Award is presented to Q Banks, office services assistant. Q strives to ensure that everyone in the firm, regardless of title or role, has what they need to do their job comfortably. Whether it's delivering a box of tissues or legal documents, he takes every task seriously.
