National Law Journal ranks Greensfelder highly on Women in Law Scorecard
The National Law Journal (NLJ) ranks Greensfelder highly among the nation’s largest law firms according to their percentages of women attorneys. Greensfelder is ranked at No. 84 on the NLJ’s 2018 Women in Law Scorecard, out of more than 260 firms surveyed.
The Women’s Scorecard is produced from data on gender diversity collected from law firms as part of the NLJ’s annual head count among the largest 500 firms. Greensfelder ranked 244th on this year’s NLJ 500, up from 261st in 2017. Only the largest 350 firms are eligible for the Women’s Scorecard. Diversity staffing counts are based on a firm’s average full-time attorneys in 2017. The Women in Law Score is determined by adding the percentage of female attorneys and percentage of female partners. About 36 percent of Greensfelder attorneys are women, and 23 percent of the firm’s officers are women.
Greensfelder fosters diversity and inclusion through multiple programs and initiatives. Programs specifically for women range from job-focused training to networking opportunities to social events. The firm also maintains policies that allow for alternative work arrangements and assistance for working parents, such as part-time working options, gender-neutral parental leave, and a mentor program and other assistance for new parents.
