May 19, 2015

St. Louis-based Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale P.C. earned national honors for its franchise law practice in the latest Chambers USA guide, a prestigious annual ranking based on extensive research that includes client and attorney interviews.

In addition, three Greensfelder officers were nationally recognized in franchise law: Leonard D. Vines, Beata Krakus and the late John R.F. Baer. Vines is based in St. Louis and Krakus in the firm’s Chicago office. (Baer, formerly the managing officer of the Chicago office, passed away in January.)

In a roundup of the top franchise law practices nationwide, Chambers’ notes on Greensfelder specifically recognized the firm’s wide range of services, including regulatory compliance, franchise agreement negotiation and mergers and acquisitions work. Clients cited the firm’s “excellent” service and deep understanding of business decisions.

Regionally, Chambers recognized Greensfelder as a top law firm in the St. Louis area in four practice areas: corporate mergers and acquisitions, employment and labor law, general commercial litigation and real estate law. Greensfelder officer David M. Harris was listed as a top general commercial litigator in the St. Louis area, and officers Dennis G. Collins, Jill K. Luft and Kevin T. McLaughlin were named among the top employment and labor attorneys.

London-based Chambers and Partners ranks attorneys from around the world and produces annual guides including the Chambers USA edition, which covers all U.S. states. Results of this year’s U.S. rankings were released May 19.
