Greensfelder has an active municipal law practice and represents both municipalities and real estate developers. As counsel for municipalities, we advise regarding interpretation of existing ordinances as well as the amendment of zoning and other ordinances to help plan development or to comply with changes in law. We also are active in ordinance enforcement and condemnation actions. A growing area of representation has been advising municipalities on and helping them implement development agreements that may include tax increment financing, transportation development districts or redevelopment areas. As counsel for real estate developers, we have obtained zoning map and text amendments, conditional use permits, variances, special business licenses, subdivision approvals and reclassifications of property for tax purposes. We have also negotiated redevelopment agreements and other arrangements between the public and private sector tailored to aid the development process.
