The attorneys in our Labor & Employment Practice Group are highly skilled and possess a unique combination of experience in all areas of labor-management relations. We are creative and innovative in our approach to advising management on all aspects of traditional labor law matters, including union avoidance, collective bargaining, arbitration, and representation of employers before the National Labor Relations Board on matters such as representation elections and unfair labor practice charges.
We regularly represent clients in collective bargaining matters with unions and defend management decisions such as terminations and other disciplinary actions, subcontracting issues, implementation of work rules, and the implementation of new or improved methods of operation. We likewise work with our clients in negotiating labor agreements, arbitrating contract grievances and have successfully aided clients in developing campaigns to oppose labor organizing efforts. We counsel management in lawful tactics to minimize the effects of union strikes and picketing. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience in interpreting union contracts.
