Shannon Haney is an Associate in the Litigation and Environmental Practice Groups. Ms. Haney represents clients in environmental litigation and compliance issues as well as general business litigation matters.
Ms. Haney counsels clients in regulatory enforcement matters brought by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. Haney has also assisted clients in obtaining No Further Action Letters and Completion Letters from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Brownfields/Voluntary Clean-up Program and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Site Remediation Program. In addition, Ms. Haney represents clients in a variety of state and federal litigations regarding environmental issues.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Haney worked for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office in the Environmental Protection Division. She handled litigation in the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission, Missouri state courts and the federal courts on behalf of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Missouri environmental commissions. She handled litigation involving the Missouri environmental statutes including the Clean Water Law, Air Conservation Law, Hazardous Waste Management Law, Solid Waste Management Law, Water Well Driller’s Act, Oil & Gas Law, and Dam & Reservoir Safety Law. Ms. Haney was also involved in litigation involving the Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act.
