Profile

With extensive experience in employee benefits law, Jeff Herman helps business clients shape, implement and defend their plans. His experience in Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) law gives him a deep understanding of how to navigate complex benefits laws, as well as all aspects of litigation and appeals.

Previously, Jeff spent several years representing clients who were seeking benefits under ERISA, giving him a perspective that encompasses the legal considerations from both the employee and employer viewpoints. His thorough approach draws on his knowledge of the complex facets of ERISA law.

Jeff writes frequently on employee benefits and health law topics for publications including the ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law. Previous to his law firm experience, he was a health policy fellow for the Missouri Foundation for Health and a volunteer attorney and legal intern for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
