Labor Certifications

When a U.S. employer has determined that it intends to pursue a permanent (immigrant) visa on behalf of one of its employees based on their employment, we work closely with the employer and the foreign worker to navigate the challenging labor certification process at the U.S. Department of Labor. The Immigration Practice Group has coordinated such applications on behalf of employers and employees in the fields of healthcare, manufacturing, education, and technology, among others. Our service begins with a discussion and analysis of the respective job market and the requirements of the labor certification process. Once we have determined that labor certification is appropriate, we structure and implement a recruitment campaign that meets the requirements of the Department of Labor. Through many years of successfully coordinating such applications, our attorneys have developed strong contacts within the applicable state and federal departments and we are able to pass on the benefits of those relationships and that experience to our clients.
