Don McBride is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group. His practice includes general commercial litigation, business torts, and securities litigation before federal and state courts and before arbitration forums.
Mr. McBride has extensive experience representing broker/dealers and investment representatives in arbitration proceedings involving various investment products and claims before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. His practice includes defending claims alleging state and federal securities law violations, unsuitability, fraud, churning, and overconcentration, as well as in the enforcement of pre-dispute arbitration agreements. Don also has experience representing broker-dealers and clearing firms in connection with investigations by the SEC, FINRA, and state regulators.
Mr. McBride’s securities experience extends to practical experience in the industry, having worked in the mutual funds department of a nationally-known brokerage firm in St. Louis, Missouri prior to joining the Firm.
Mr. McBride also has environmental litigation experience (defending energy companies and their subsidiaries against claims brought by regulatory entities and private parties seeking cost recovery, personal injury, and property damages) and employment litigation experience (defending employers against alleged violations of the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Missouri Human Rights Act).
