The Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Practice Group’s team of attorneys and paralegals zealously guard their clients’ rights both within and outside of court-supervised proceedings. Our Team’s business-oriented, practical approach to dealing with client issues results from our depth of experience in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law. We have represented clients ranging from large financial institutions, manufacturers, commercial landlords and equipment lessors, to local banks and small business owners in commercial bankruptcy transactions. Through this diverse representation, we are able to offer clients flexible strategies.
The Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Practice Group’s experience includes representing secured and unsecured creditors before judges in various venues. Clients come to us with a variety of matters including protective measures in bankruptcy courts and recovery measures in other venues. Our attorneys are experienced in handling state court litigation matters including replevin, mechanics’ lien, foreclosure, and fraudulent conveyance suits. We also have experience with bankruptcy court litigation matters including discharge and dischargeability suits, preference litigation, and other creditor-related adversary proceedings and contested matters, including suits for accounting, turnover, and motions involving lease assumption or rejection, cash collateral, and relief from stay.
Our Group is licensed in all Missouri and Illinois state courts, bankruptcy courts in the Eastern District of Missouri, Southern and Central Districts of Illinois, and U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. Members also practice in a variety of bankruptcy courts across the country.
