Mr. Hardcastle is an Officer in the Construction Practice Group. Mr. Hardcastle represents an array of owners, prime contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals. His practice includes dispute resolution work in both the public and private sectors, as well as contract preparation and transactional work.
Mr. Hardcastle has litigated, arbitrated and mediated a wide variety of construction disputes including bid protests, contract terminations, and claims for delay, disruption, acceleration, defective design, defective specifications and extra work, to name a few. He has represented construction industry clients before federal and state appellate and trial courts, federal and state boards and tribunals and in arbitrations and mediations around the United States.
Mr. Hardcastle has substantial experience in the acquisition and delivery of construction services including traditional design-build, design-bid-build, agent construction management, at-risk construction management and turnkey construction. He assists clients in a broad range of contractual settings including competitive bidding on private and public works projects, negotiated pricing, cost plus a fee, with or without a GMP, and best value procurements. He also assists clients in the formation and certification of DBE’s and WBE’s, and the calculation of minority participation on government projects.
